Our Vacation Homes

“Snug Haven is a resort community designed for maximum comfort, convenience, safety and FUN. The vacation homes are clean and comfortable, the beach is roomy and well maintained, and Budd Lake is beautiful and teeming with lots of varieties of fish. Once you settle into your vacation home, you may not want to leave.”

Two vacation homes sit directly on the beach--the Nest and the Lodge. The Retreat is a little behind the second row, approximately 75 feet from the beach. The Hideaway has its own private beach, deck, and dock.

Each vacation home is described in the following sections:

• The Hideaway

  

  The Hideaway is a one-story, ranch-style vacation home containing three bedrooms with queen-sized beds, a bedroom with twin bunk beds, and another open area with two sets of twin bunk beds. It has two full bathrooms, a galley-style kitchen, ample dining area with seating for at least 12, a spacious living room area with gas fireplace, and a laundry room. The Hideaway will sleep 12 comfortably, maybe more. The Hideaway has its own 60-foot sandy beach and dock. There is a deck off the kitchen and another deck by the beach.

• The Nest

  

  The Nest was completed in Spring 2006. Designed to be wheelchair/scooter accessible on the first floor, the Nest contains everything someone with limited mobility would need: ramp to the front door, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable dining area, living room with two queen-size futons, cable TV, and a large bathroom with ADA-compliant fixtures. The front door opens to a covered deck overlooking our spacious beach and Budd Lake. On the second story we've added two comfortable bedrooms with queen-size beds in each. Each upstairs bedroom has its own private full bath with oversize shower. The Nest sleeps 6-8 comfortably.

• The Lodge

  

  The Lodge was built in 2001. It is a three-story unit with a knotty pine interior and large covered deck facing the lake. There are two double beds in the upstairs loft area and a queen-size bed in the main floor bedroom. This unit has a gas fireplace, convection oven/stove, microwave oven, and full kitchen. There is a full bath on the main floor and another on the lower level. There is a washer and dryer for guest use on the lower level. The vacation home has cable TV for those rare occasions when you need contact with the outside world. No vacation home at Snug Haven has phones. The door from the lower level opens directly to the beach. The Lodge sleeps 6-8 comfortably.

• The Retreat

  

  The Retreat was completed in 2002. It sits on the hill at the back of the resort, about 75 feet from the beach. The front deck is covered for use during less-than-perfect weather. This vacation home is a two-story unit with a divided loft upstairs and a bedroom on the main floor. There is a queen-size bed in the main floor bedroom and one double bed and two twin-size beds upstairs. There is one full bath on the main floor. Cable TV is provided. The kitchen is modern and fully-equipped. The Retreat sleeps 6 comfortably.
